Virus

A type of malware that attaches itself to a host file or the Master Boot Record (MBR) and spreads when the infected file is accessed. Viruses typically aim to damage or destroy data and can spread between computers through user activity. Some act quickly, while others may take time to execute or target specific file types like images or Word documents.

"The virus infected the computer’s MBR, causing the system to crash and corrupting critical files."
