Extranet

An extranet is a private network that extends a company's internal network to external users, such as partners, suppliers, or customers. It allows these external parties to securely access specific resources, information, or applications hosted by the organization, facilitating collaboration and information exchange. Unlike a public website, an extranet requires authentication and authorization to ensure that only authorized users can access the system, providing a controlled environment for secure communication and data sharing.

"The company uses an extranet to securely share sensitive project files with its partners and suppliers, ensuring controlled access and collaboration."
