Easter Egg

An Easter Egg in software is a hidden feature, message, or novelty that developers include as a surprise or secret within the program. While often intended for fun or as an inside joke, Easter Eggs can also serve as a way to acknowledge or reward users who discover them. Although many Easter Eggs are benign and officially included by the software vendor, in some cases, they may be illicitly included to create a backdoor or unauthorized access point. Easter Eggs are typically not documented in official documentation or user manuals.

"The developers hid an Easter Egg in the software, rewarding users who discover it with a fun surprise that’s not mentioned in the official documentation."
